What should I expect with a peel?
Peels are exfoliating. You should expect a light to medium flaking that you will care for with your aftercare skincare to get the results of superior skin.
Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime with PCA Peels. You leave with a healthy glow and will experience exfoliation in the following day or two. Flaking may or may not occur however the skin is still exfoliating even if not visible to the name eye. The amount of layers applied will determine the amount of exfoliation you will experience. It is important not to work out or sweat for 48 hours after your peel. You want to avoid anything that will interfere with the process of the treatment.
Post Treatment Instructions
Do Not apply anything other than post-procedure kit for 48 hours
Allow the skin to rest - Mineral makeup can be applied after 48 hours
Make sure to use sunscreen. Avoid sun exposure and excessive heat.
Do not peel any exfoliating skin as this can result in hyperpigmentation and light scarring.
Discontinue the following: Retin-A, Renova and Differin for 7 days. Do not have Botox, Injections, Waxing, Electrolysis, depilatories done for at least 7 days.
Do not go tanning for 2 weeks post-procedure.
Do not use ice or cold water to treat area.
Do not use jacuzzi’s, steam rooms, saunas, swimming or participate in activities that will cause excessive perspiration.
Do not use hair dryer on treated area.
